Henry Schein UK embraced its ‘Holiday Cheer’ programme in December 2024, with team members joining forces to bring joy and help to individuals in need.
Through its 26th annual ‘Holiday Cheer’ programme, team members at 15 company locations delivered joy to over 1,150 individuals across the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Italy.
Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said, “We are thrilled to have once again spread holiday cheer to individuals all over the world. This programme goes beyond being an annual tradition; it reflects Team Schein’s deep commitment to supporting our local communities.
“Thank you to all of Team Schein who make this programme possible, bringing the spirit of giving throughout the years. We look forward to many more years of ‘Holiday Cheer’.”
The corporate flagship initiative has helped more than 20,000 underserved children, their families, and senior citizens experience cheerful holidays, with the initiative donating clothing, comfort items, toys, gift cards, and more.
The UK team embraced the spirit of giving by organising several charitable initiatives to support the local community.
A raffle held during the Gillingham Christmas party raised funds for My Shining Star, a local children’s cancer charity providing vital advice and practical support for families affected by cancer. The team also hosted a reverse advent calendar donation station, with proceeds benefiting Gillingham Street Angels, a local homeless support group and soup kitchen.
In addition, a Christmas jumper day raised funds for Save the Children, and volunteers participated in the Christmas Grotto at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital in Cardiff, helping create a magical experience for young patients.
Vikki Goodall, vice president and managing director for the UK and Ireland, said, “These initiatives reflect the heart of our company—coming together to support those in need during the holiday season. I’m incredibly proud of our team’s dedication to making a positive impact in our community.”
