The TV and radio personality recently revealed on social media that he would be saying goodbye to the veneers he had had for the last eight years.

Rylan, who currently hosts ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’ and ‘Rylan on Saturday’ on BBC Radio 2, had the veneers fitted in 2013, after winning ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. Following his victory, he then went on to host the programme’s spin-off panel show, ‘Big Brother’s Bit on The Side’, where he began to become a household name.

Rylan’s veneers helped him create a distinctive look, making him memorable to viewers. On transforming his smile, Rylan joked on Twitter, “Sometimes you just have to let go”.

Speaking to Mail Online, the presenter shared, “I've still got [my old veneers]. They're in a bag somewhere, I'm gonna get them framed.”

He added, “The new ones are a hell of a lot smaller, I couldn't fit the last ones on a plane to the Pacific so I thought I'd make them a lot more natural.

“If I didn't have the veneers, I would [have a ridiculously gummy mouth] so they're staying.”

The former ‘X Factor’ contestant confessed that although he has grown more comfortable with his appearance over the years, he wouldn't discourage anyone from cosmetic surgery.

He said, “I do feel the older I get, the more comfortable I get with how I look and slow stuff down, hence the change of teeth and things like that.

“But listen, if you're not happy with something and you're in the position to change it, change it, do what you want.”
