The UK’s largest dentistry provider, {my}dentist, has launched its brand-new dental practice in Port Talbot . To celebrate it is making a donation to the fundraising effort for toddler, Olivia Finch.

The company has invested £1.3m to merge and relocate its two former practices in Port Talbot into a purpose built, modern site on Baglan Bay Retail Park. As part of the move, the practice has been rebranded as an Advanced Oral Health Centre in recognition of the advanced skills of its clinical team and features familiar sights from the Port Talbot skyline within the waiting area.

To celebrate the opening, the practice team decided that rather than pay a celebrity to cut the ribbon they wanted to donate to the fundraising drive for local toddler Olivia Finch. The team became aware of the campaign after her grandmother, Shirly Davies, told dentist Hugo Ferreira about the efforts to raise funds to help get Olivia to the USA for treatment for Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

Mrs Davies joined Beckie Morse, {my}dentist practice manager, and the rest of the practice team to officially cut the ribbon and declare the practice open.

Beckie said, “We were all deeply touched by what Mrs Davies had told us about Olivia’s fight against cancer and we wanted to help in any way we could. We were so pleased that she was able to come back and help us open the practice and that we have been able to towards her fund.

“Our relocation has been a real team effort and the reaction from patients so far has been fantastic. We’re looking forward to welcoming more of them through the doors in the coming months.”

As part of the move, the practice’s capacity has increased, going from six surgeries across the two former sites to eight. It has advanced dental technology throughout, further patient benefits include free parking and evening and weekend appointments.

The practice features state-of-the-art dental technology throughout improving the patient journey for treatments including teeth straightening, dental implants, teeth whitening and smile makeovers.

The practice is accepting new patients under {my}options, {my}dentist’s affordable way to access dentistry. Under {my}options, patients can access private check-ups, essential dental treatments and cosmetic dental treatments at affordable prices with check-ups costing just £39.
