{my}dentist launches Trainee Dental Nurse Diploma
Published: 14/10/2019
{my}dentist’s Academy has launched its Trainee Dental Nurse Diploma which is accredited by the NEBDN to trainees from external practices anywhere in the UK.
The {my}dentist Academy launched the national diploma course for internal candidates in 2016. To date, 336 dental nurses have completed the course and qualified through our programme. A further 623 are currently registered on the course and are studying towards their exams. Our most recent cohort saw over 100 dental nurses qualify with the National Examining Board.
In April 2019, our cohort of dental nurses’ overall written exam pass rate was 7.3% higher than the NEBDN overall pass rate for all other course providers.
Thanks to the industry leading pass rate, and subsequent demand from the industry, the {my}dentist Academy has now opened the door to external candidates who want to access its unique programme.
Dental nurse trainees on the {my}dentist course can expect access to online learning via the Academy website, an online record of experience, tutor support, written and practical mock exams and revision workshops.
Mark Jones, head of the {my}dentist Academy, said: “Our trainee dental nurses programme has been a huge focus for the business. We have invested time and resources in industry leading on and offline training resources and have seen a fantastic pass rate to date.
“We have been inundated with enquiries from external practices and clinicians who like our forward-thinking approach and we’re looking forward to even more trainee dental nurses joining the programme.”
The course lasts 12-18 months and costs £1900 inc VAT. It is open to any prospective trainee dental nurse who is working in a practice at least two days per week. All course contracts signed with {my}dentist include a non-poaching clause.
