Obex Dental, the UK’s largest independent dental practice, has teamed up with TriggerHub to provide a digital platform for mental health to more than 160,000 of its patients and the communities they serve.

All Obex patients will have free access to the service.

TriggerHub is a mental health and wellbeing app, covering a various topics and conditions relevant to all users. According to the company, it is the only mental health app that harnesses the power of lived experience, which is scientifically proven to reduce stigma and procrastination in seeking help and treatment.

The app also aims to cultivate human connection, acting as a proactive measure for those who may be suffering in silence. It is a simple and private first step that anyone can take to begin improving their mental health.

TriggerHub’s publishing arm, Trigger Publishing, has published over 200 books at a growing rate of 50 per year. The books aim to harness the power of hope through shared lived experience. To mark World Mental Health Day in October 2024, TriggerHub is set to publish NFL Super Bowl winner and mental health advocate, BJ Daniels, Beyond the Red Zone. In the book, Daniels shares how he became a mental health champion after playing for the highest-scoring team in NFL history.

The TriggerHub app offers 24/7 on-demand access to inspirational stories and proven strategies for navigating life’s challenges. The company has invested over $10m since its inception in 2017 and has helped over 1.5m people.

TriggerHub’s courageous authors share their personal journeys, including their challenges along the way and their paths to recovery. According to the app, these lived experiences inspire hope and create a proactive culture around mental health, rather than a reactive one.
