Philips is offering a free Sonicare toothbrush to all UK dental students to help support the future of dentistry.
Kimberley Lloyd-Rees, Philips’ education manager, has visited dental schools in the UK to hear more about students’ needs and how Philips can support them better. Philips has said it is developing several exciting plans to ensure the dental professionals of the future feel confident about all aspects of powered tooth brushing and interproximal cleaning, as well as tooth whitening.
Philips will also be offering sponsorship for innovative student events and causes. Kimberley is seeking student ambassadors to collaborate with on creative social media content.
Kimberley has brought a wealth of relevant experience to her role. She currently works in parallel as a dental therapist, and was previously a lecturer in dental hygiene at the University of Sheffield. She said, “I am dedicated to meeting all dental students, and plan to visit every dental school in the UK.
“I look forward to working with students and their student unions, to play a small role in their professional development.”
