This year, the Allied Health Professionals Programme is broken down into two separate days. Friday 28 September is aimed at orthodontic therapists while Saturday 29 September is for orthodontic dental nurses. Whatever your role, you are welcome at either day!

Friday’s programme includes a lecture from the acclaimed Simon Littlewood discussing the therapist’s role. Also look out for Colin Melrose and John Scholey, two excellent and popular speakers, both consultant orthodontists who are doing a joint presentation. There is an opportunity for therapists to join the Practice Development Programme, also on Friday and discuss the way forward for therapists, ten years after the role was created.

On the dental nurses’ Saturday programme, consultant orthodontist Sheena Kotecha discusses quality of life and orthodontics, and there are lectures on dental trauma and oral cancer. As ever, team members are welcome to attend lectures on the main programme, on any day of the conference.

Sally Dye, chair of ONG, said: 'From increasing your knowledge of the latest consent guidelines to recording your ECPD or browsing the trade stands for the latest in innovative resources, BOC 2018 in London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre has something for everyone!

'It’s not too late to enter the poster or folder competition – both offering generous monetary prizes. Why would you miss this event? Come and join us!'
